📣 📣📣Can you hear that sound? Is that… is that... the sound of WIESoc’s first face-to-face event since quarantine began ??? That’s right everyone, THIS! IS! NOT! A! DRILL! 📣📣📣


♻️♻️♻️Get geared up for WIESoc’s 50/50 UPCYCLE PROJECT!!! ♻️♻️♻️ During a 3 hour workshop in the James N Kirby Makerspace, you will learn to sew your very own tote bag by upcycling an old 50/50 t-shirt 👕! Gather some  friends, sign up, and sew away those T3 sorrows!! 


Never sewed in your life? Don’t fret - we’ve got you covered! We will be teaching participants the basics of sewing during the event, so that you can get involved without any prior experience!

WHEN: Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th October 

WHERE: James N Kirby Makerspace at the Willis Annex Building(no need to complete Makerspace Induction)

By the end of this event, you will have the bombest sewing skills on the block, a beautiful upcycled 50/50 tote bag 👜 for you to keep AND bragging rights as the next big eco-warrior in town🌱🌱🌱. 


Please note, the WIESoc team is working hard to ensure COVID-19 safety at this event. We will be running small-scale workshops to limit the number of people gathered in the Makerspace at one time. We will also provide hand sanitiser, table wipes, and disposable face masks for all participants! 



There will be multiple workshops run across both days at these time slots and you will be able to pick your top preferences:

🔹9am - 12pm

🔹12pm - 3pm

🔹3pm - 6pm


Registrations open on Friday! Spots will be allocated on a first-in-first served basis - so be sure to sign up quick!
